Flying Lizard Motorsports has always stood out from the competition and in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, will do likewise with a pair of special liveries for their two Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs that will no doubt pop in every aspect.
California-based design artist Troy Lee, who designed the liveries, wanted to capture the essence of Porsche and the drivers’ nationalities and place it on a 3D setting. The rest was making sure he had the right paint.

“A crucial part of this project was getting the right paint: We worked extensively with PPG Industries to develop these custom colors, both for their liveliness and for the depth of the metallic colors,” Lee said. “Using the candy paint as a base, we then created the intricate backdrop of asymmetric shapes to balance the design and create the sense of speed.”

We could say more words, but really, the images of the cars stand out by themselves. More information can be found on the Flying Lizard website.
