No. 80: Jörg Bergmeister, Patrick Long, Lucas Luhr
No. 81: Seth Neiman, Darren Law, Spencer Pumpelly

It’s not for a lack of effort, but for whatever reason, luck has never been on the Flying Lizards’ side when it comes to the team’s annual trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The stalwart Porsche squad has garnered class poles and led laps, but never achieved an elusive win when all was said and done.

This year, they enter two cars at Le Mans for the first time, and their striking Troy Lee-designed liveries are sure to capture a sizeable amount of attention. The liveries pay tribute to every driver that has won overall for Porsche at Le Mans.

Two separate classes for the team’s pair of updated 911 GT3 RSRs provide a pair of chances for the Lizards to finally claim the victory. The team’s all-professional lineup of full-season ALMS drivers Jörg Bergmeister and Patrick Long are reunited at Le Mans after Long has driven for a French Porsche team since 2007. To boot, Muscle Milk Aston Martin Racing’s Lucas Luhr joins back up with a Porsche squad as the third driver, and makes his Flying Lizard team debut.

Bergmeister noted the last time these three were paired together, they won at the 2005 12 Hours of Sebring driving another Porsche 911.

In the GTE Am class, the No. 81 boasts team principal Seth Neiman alongside Darren Law and Spencer Pumpelly. Law and Pumpelly boast a wealth of sports car experience although their Le Mans experience is limited to Law’s two starts the last two years.
