Friday was a Ferrari Festival atop the GT category as the ALMS teams opened official testing for Sunday’s Mobil 1 Grand Prix of Mosport.
Pierre Kaffer and Toni Vilander aboard car #61 led a Risi Ferrari 1-2 as they posted a 1:17.257 to put a gap of .5 seconds over teammates Gimmi Bruni and Jaime Melo in Friday practice here at Mosport.
Third quickest in the 90 minute official test session was the reunited #4 Corvette combo of Jan Magnussen and Oliver Gavin.
Extreme Speed Motorsports put a third Ferrari in the top four as Johannes van Overbeek and Scott Sharp edged the #3 Corvette of Johnny O’Connell and Olivier Beretta to complete the top-five.
