Schedules confirmed! In what is a big day for news on calendar updates for sportscar fans, the FIA World Endurance Championship locked in its dates alongside the Tudor United SportsCar Championship today for 2014.

The FIA WEC will visit the same venues in 2014 as it does this year including a double header with the American series in Austin at Circuit of the Americas.

The good news for fans, teams and drivers is the fact none of races scheduled for 2014 clash between the FIAWEC and American series. The only conflict will be for P2 teams who want to contest the Detroit Belle Isle event and the Le Mans test day.

“This calendar represents a further step to establishing the brand of the FIA World Endurance Championship in the countries that we visit,” said Gerard Neveu, CEO of the FIA WEC.

“It is important for the seven races outside of the 24 Hours of Le Mans to have a stable calendar so the fans know when and where the FIA WEC will be bringing the Spirit of Le Mans to a circuit near them.

“It also represents stability for our teams, sponsors and partners and it will allow us to be able to continue to build on the foundations that have been laid over the past two seasons.”
