Farewell “Dr Fast Wax”
Farewell “Dr Fast Wax”
The American Le Mans Series paddock has lost one of its great characters with CORE autosport’s “Dr Fast Wax” Ralph Brown passing away on Sunday.
Brown was General Manager at Composite Resources – CORE autosport’s parent company.
But he was more than just one of Jon Bennett’s trusted lieutenants – he was a close friend who has been there through Bennett’s rise from club racing to IMSA Prototype Lites and through to ALMS championship success.
Brown suffered a brain aneurism in September last year prior to Petit Le Mans. CORE autosport’s PC class cars carried the tag “Racing for Ralph” through to victory lane.
Sadly, Brown never recovered from the aneurism and passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Our thoughts go out to his wife Terri, his daughter Lindsay (team coordinator at CORE autosport) and the entire CORE autosport team.
