Shown at Road Atlanta on Wednesday in the dry, the Rebellion Racing P1 team led the first practice on a drying track on Thursday morning.

Ranking third fastest overall and heading the P2 runners was Bertrand Baguette at 1:13.971 in the #35 Oak Racing Morgan /Nissan. He was followed by the #20 Dyson Racing Lola Mazda with Chris McMurry and the #1 Greaves Motorsports Zytek/Nissan with Alex Brundle and Alex Buncombe.

With the weather forecast calling for dry weather later today and for the race, a number of top runners sat out much of the session as the track continued dry. A total of 27 cars of the 42 entries took to the track during the one-hour session.
Track time has been readily available as many teams took advantage of testing Sunday and Monday and a promoter test day yesterday. Sitting out the morning session were the Nissan DeltaWing, Corvette Racing, BMW Team RLL and Extreme Speed Motorsports squads.
