Driver Dr. Tim George passes away at Sebring
During Sunday’s Michelin IMSA SportsCar Encore race at Sebring International Raceway, driver Timothy M. George, M.D., 59, passed away following a medical emergency. A Michelin statement is below:

Michelin offers its sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Tim George, who passed away while following his passion.
We are saddened by the loss of this member of the motorsports family.

George drove in the IMSA Prototype Challenge race at Sebring earlier this year, also with ANSA Motorsports.
He had been an active participant in IMSA for a few seasons on a part-time basis.
A pediatric doctor in Texas, George had made countless positive contributions to others throughout his career, according to the Austin American-Statesman and the Austin CBS affiliate.
