Drisi the Movie Man !

August 4, 2012

Have you ever wondered why the RSR Racing PC entry turns up at each ALMS race with a new livery promoting a blockbuster movie?

Just ask RSR’s Tomy Drisi. The Californian runs Tomy Advertising, a company in Hollywood that produces the huge cardboard three-dimensional cutouts you see in the cinema foyers promoting the latest upcoming movie.

And what better way to get the message out than putting the livery on the No.9 PC ALMS car. This promotion isn’t made of cardboard and is certainly a lot quicker than the ones you’ll see next time you go and see a movie.

Over the past three races the car has featured “Ice Age Continental Drift” at Lime Rock Park, “The Watch” at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and “Dog Days – Diary of a Wimpy Kid” here at Mid-Ohio.

Judging from their race winning speed in Canada, neither Drisi or his co-drive Bruno Junqueira could be called a wimpy kid!
