Double duty – in the same team!
Double duty – in the same team!
While Bruno Junqueira is pulling double duty in two different series today, Pat Long will be an even busier boy today – pulling double duty but doing it in the same team.
Flying Lizard Motorsports team owner Seth Neiman injured his arm during the morning warm-up. Long will now step in for his team boss to not only drive the No.44 car with Marco Holzer, but also co-drive with his regular teammate Joerg Bergmeister aboard the No.45 Porsche.
Because the No.44 starting driver has changed, the car will have to start the race from pit lane.
Because it is starting from pit lane, it will serve a stop and go penalty.
Long will certainly be a busy man doing two separate stints in two cars in a two hour race.
The Flying Lizard Motorsports strategy team will also be busy – making sure Long completes his minium drive time in both cars and juggle the pit stop schedule around the inevitable yellow flag periods that happen during street races.
