For every team and driver at Road America, four hours around the longest circuit on the schedule is an enormous challenge – but try doing it with broken ribs.
That is exactly what Dempsey Racing’s Joe Foster faces this weekend after a crash in GRAND-AM competition at Wakins Glen last weekend.
Dempsey was “helped” off the road by a Prototype coming onto the main straight, destroying his Mazda RX8.
Teamed with Patrick Dempsey this weekend, Foster is ready to race despite his injuries but has brought in some back-up.
Former ALMS regular, Brit Ben Devlin is on hand as stand-by if Foster’s injuries force him out the car.
Michelin Alley spoke to the paddock’s new “Iron Man” during practice today.
