Dempsey Racing will seek its third podium of its first ALMS season Saturday at Road Atlanta.
Dempsey Racing is ready for its first Petit Le Mans after qualifying the #27 Lola/Judd/Michelin 13th fastest in the 42 car field with a best lap of 1:13.214.
Team co-owner/drivers Patrick Dempsey and Joe Foster are joined here by Dane Cameron for the 10 Hour/1000 Mile race on the hilly 2.54 mile Road Atlanta circuit. The race will be the longest ALMS race to date for the Georgia based team.
In its first year of ALMS P2 class competition, the Dempsey Racing team has already earned street cred with two podium finishes in its first four starts.
“To be at this track at Petit Le Mans, here at Road Atlanta, it has been a long road,” Dempsey said. “It has been almost 10 years to the day when I first really fell in love with this event, and we have been working that long to get here. So, it is just incredible to finally have that goal realized and hopefully we will have a good run at it on Saturday.”
