Dempsey Racing hits the track
Dempsey Racing hit the track for the first time at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca today with Patrick Dempsey and Joe Foster joined by former ALMS winner Jonny Cocker at the wheel.
The Atlanta-based organization is extremely busy this weekend – running multiple race programs on both coasts.
The team is running the Dempsey/Foster/Cocker car in P2, its regular ALMS PC class entry along with its Mazda RX-8 GRAND-AM GT across the country in New Jersey.
The #27 Dempsey Racing Lola was 5th fastest overall today, stopping the clocks at 1:19.698.
Muscle Milk Racing topped the overall timesheets with its HPD P1 machine with a time of 1:16.887.
In the GT ranks, Oliver Gavin and Tom Milner headed a Corvette 1-2.
First official practice at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is at 10:50am tomorrow.
