Sunday has dawned at the Circuit de la Sarthe and the teams now begin to play their race plans from back to front, counting down the remaining eight hours.

For some, the carfeully crafted race strategies have encountered the realities of Le Mans. Already 21 of the 56 starters are classified as retired. For a fortunate few, the race has run very much to their plan.

Corvette has used the late night and dawn to its advantage, triple stinting their Michelin tires for 41 laps with a fast lap of 4:00.6 on the 40th lap as Oliver Gavin, Jan Magnussen and Richard Westbrook continue to lead the GTE battle.
