Corvette Racing’s Dan Binks will hold his annual auction for Camp Anokijig this weekend at Road America. This is one of the traditions of IMSA’s trip to the picturesque Elkhart Lake, Wis. road course.

Further details are below, via Corvette Racing.

Corvette Racing’s annual trek to Road America also will include Dan Binks’ annual auction for Camp Anokijig. Since 2009, Binks has held auctions in the Corvette Corral on IMSA weekends to raise money for the camp, which means “We Serve” in Native American.

This year’s auction is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. CT on Saturday at the Corvette Corral. Items up for bid include:

– Two certificates for a single-person, two-day session at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving Corvette Owners School with two nights lodging, donated by Michelin
– One set of Michelin tires, also donated by Michelin
– A selection of Mobil 1 Oil Drop trophies, donated by Mobil 1
– A GM Goodwrench Corvette Racing firesuit from the first year of the Corvette Racing program
– A SONIC Tools Corvette Racing tool box, used by team crew members
– A variety of “used(!)” Corvette C7.R race parts

Binks, Corvette Racing crew chief, is a board member at Anokijig and a former camper. For nearly a decade, the auctions at Road America have raised more than $400,000 for the camp, which opened in 1926 and hosts boys and girls from ages 7 to 16.

Besides youth summer camp experiences, Anokijig offers teen leadership programs, adventure trips, family programs, and outdoor education for schools, among others.
