Corvette thrilled with Greenville
Corvette Racing program manager Doug Fehan headed to Motorsports on Main in Greenville for the second time yesterday – and if yesterday’s results are anything to go – the boys in yellow are pretty keen to return in 2012.
Fehan was joined by star young driver Tommy Milner at yesterday’s event which again attracted thousands of fans to Main St., Greenville.
“When we look at the past history of the American Le Mans Series, we’ve done many different promotions, but I don’t think any were as effective as our visit to Motorsports on Main last year,” Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Feehan said.
“This is an amazing community; it has a high-end technical base to it with people who are open to new technologies. That’s probably why Michelin and BMW have chosen to be headquartered here. We have the opportunity here to open up a new avenue to racing to a community who may have never heard of the American Le Mans Series before.
“We, at Corvette, have found this event to be wildly successful. We’re meeting a whole lot of new customers here today. I think the other manufacturers are finding that to be true. It’s a great event, put on by great people, in a great city.”
