The most successful teams in sport don’t rebuild, they reload. That certainly appears to be the case at Corvette Racing. The 2012 and 2013 ALMS GT Manufacturer and Team Champions will not only debut the new C7-R at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, they will add a pair of top flight veterans; Ryan Briscoe and Robin Liddell to complete their TUDOR United SportsCar GT Le Mans class driver line-ups.
Briscoe, a former Indy Car and ALMS winner, recently named to a full-season IndyCar ride with TCGR, will be aboard the #3 Corvette with 2013 champions Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia. Liddell, a top shoe in sports cars, joins 2012 GT champions Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner aboard the #4 Corvette.
Briscoe and Liddell will remain on board for the second race of the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.
The third seats became available as a result of the merger that created the new TUDOR Championship. Jordan Taylor and Richard Westbrook will compete in the Prototype category in the TUDOR Championship. Both will rejoin the Corvette Racing aboard the C7 R s at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
