Corvette Racing scored a stunning GT class 1-2 result at today’s third round of the American Le Mans Series at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner took the win over teammates Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia.
Gavin grabbed the lead after the last round of pitstops with a strong move on the Porsche of Wolf Henzler. Magnussen’s pass to score second was even more impressive – sliding in behind a prototype with brakes locked to slice under the BMW of Joerg Mueller at turn 2.
The victory was the second in a row for Gavin and Milner – backing up their Long Beach win in round 2.
A dream weekend for Porsche Penske Motorsport going 1-2 at Indianapolis
