CORE to host Wounded Warriors
LMPC champions CORE autosport are paying tribute to our nation’s heroes by hosting troops involved with Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) at American Le Mans Series (ALMS) events in 2012.
The team will host a small group of servicemen at each U.S.-based round of the ALMS season. They will get a full immersive experience, from meeting with the team and drivers to wearing firesuits and donning headsets to watch the race from pit lane.
CORE autosport and Composite Resources founder and owner Jon Bennett has always held the U.S. military forces in very high regard. The parent company to CORE autosport, Composite Resources, has created a variety of components for the U.S. armed forces since the company’s inception, and is the sole manufacturer of the Combat Application Tourniquet® (C-A-T®).
The C-A-T is a small and lightweight one-handed tourniquet that completely closes off arterial blood flow in an extremity.
Bennett will team up with former NASCAR young gun Colin Braun for the 2012 championship. Eric Lux – the man who also shared the driver’s title with the CORE drivers in 2011 – will drive with Bennett and Braun this weekend.
