The drama and action from Mid-Ohio, the sixth round of the 2010 American Le Mans Series season, will be broadcast on CBS Sports this Sunday, August 15, at 12:30 p.m. ET. It’s the second race of the year that will be shown in a one hour, 30-minute “docu-drama” as produced by Intersport and NFL Films. The show is called “Road Warriors.”

Mid-Ohio featured titanic battles in both the GT and LMP classes, with one of the Michelin technical partner teams, Risi Competizione Ferrari, making one of if not the pass of the season that would help their quest for victory.

Intersport is not affiliated with the Intersport Racing ALMS team. However, this is the production company’s third foray into ALMS-driven shows. They were one of the driving forces behind the very well-received “Truth in 24,” which chronicled Audi’s quest for victory in the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The same two companies also worked on the ALMS race at Monterey this season – a six-hour event at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca held in May. While Dyson Racing closed within striking distance of Patron Highcroft Racing there, the fortunes were reversed this past weekend at Mid-Ohio.
