Buemi disqualified in Montreal

As if the FIA Formula E finale needed any more drama, Sebastien Buemi has been disqualified in Montreal for an underweight second car in yesterday’s opening race.
The second car—which the Renault e.Dams team built from the ground up in the five hours between his second practice crash and the race—was found to be 4kg underweight in post-race technical inspection.
With Di Grassi’s win Saturday and Buemi’s DQ, the gap between them now stands at 18 points going into the final race of the season, advantage Di Grassi.
With 29 points on offer in Sunday’s race, it’s not an insurmountable gap for the Swiss driver, but it’s far more than the six-point deficit he faced before the disqualification.
