The qualifying session at the Circuit of The Americas was a near mirror image to the day’s earlier practice session with Alex Brundle registering the fastest lap of the day with a 1:57.809 and the Porsche North America entry taking over the pole in GTLM.

Unlike practice, Porsche didn’t claim all the top spots as Jonathan Bomarito came in second in his #93 Dodge Viper SRT, only 0.237 seconds behind the #910 Porsche 911 RSR car of Patrick Pilet.

8 Star Motorsports’ Sean Rayhall went fastest in the PC class with a lap of 2:00.528 ahead of CORE Autosport’s Colin Braun.

In GTD, James Davison in his Aston Martin V12 Vantage, also continued where he left off in practice by taking pole position in his class.

The TUDOR Championship Lone Star Le Mans will go green on Saturday, September 20 at 11:35 am local time.

The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 2 with a rebroadcast on the Fox Network (check you local listings).
