Matthew Brabham added to the family racing legend today as he captured the USF2000 series championship with an eighth place finish here at VIR.
Matthew, age 18, is the son of former IMSA sports car champion Geoff Brabham, nephew of former ALMS champion David Brabham and the grandson of former F1 champion Sir Jack Brabham.
Spencer Pigot picked up his eighth win of the 14-race season at VIR, but Brabham’s four wins and consistent finishes gave him a solid cushion heading into the final race.
