BMW leads GTLM battle
Three former BMW teammates topped the times in yesterday afternoon’s session at Canadian Tire Motorsport with current ace Bill Auberlen topping the times.
Auberlen led Corvette Racing’s Tommy Milner and Ford’s Dirk Mueller – both former BMW factory drivers.
Yesterday’s second session – like the first – was affected by rain in the second half of the 60 minute practice.
In the Prototype class it was the Corvette Daytona Prototypes to the fore with Jordan Taylor leading Action Express Racing duo Christian Fittipaldi and Dane Cameron.
The Mazda Racing duo were fourth and fifth fastest.
Other class leaders included Renger van der Zande in PC and Magnus Racing Audi driver Andy Lally who also topped the first session in Canada.
Cars are back on track this morning at 10:10am before qualifying kicks off at 3:40pm this afternon.
