Beretta’s Ferrari assault
They have two poles and impressive pace in 2013 – it looks like Risi Competizione did not grow rusty during its 2012 sabbatical.
With Matteo Malucelli scoring his first ALMS pole yesterday and Olivier Beretta starting from the top spot in Sebring, the Ferrari 458 Italia certainly looks very potent in red.
While Beretta jointly holds the record for the most wins in the history of the American Le Mans Series, the Monaco born-and-bred star believes it won’t be long before his young Italian teammate joins him in victory lane.
Things however, haven’t started out well for Risi today. A stop-and-go penalty followed by two additional penalties for speeding in the pit lane has put them back down the field.
Michelin Alley spoke with Beretta prior to the green flag today.
