Battle looming for qualifying
Competition at the sharp end of the grid in both the Prototype and GTLM classes is expected to be fierce this afternoon for qualifying for the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park round of the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
Dirk Mueller’s BMW was fastest this morning in the GTLM battle – marginally quicker than Antonio Garcia’s Corvette. Last round podium finisher Marc Goossens was third fastest aboard the No.91 Dodge Viper.
In the Prototype ranks Ryan Dalziel was fastest in the PR versus DP battle – pushing his HPD ARX-03b into the one minute, nine second bracket – the only man to do so.
Richard Westbrook’s Corvette DP was second fastest ahead of Joao Barbosa. Qualifying kicks off this afternoon at 5:20pm today.
