Audi take 1-2 at 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours
Audi Sport Team Joest took the checkered flag in a 1-2 formation finish to seal their 13th Le Mans 24 Hours win at Circuit de la Sarthe this afternoon.
Benoit Treluyer, Marcel Fassler and Andre Lotterer headed home the #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro of Lucas Di Grassi, Marc Gene and Tom Kristensen by three laps.
Rounding out the podium was the #8 Toyota TS040 Hybrid of Anthony Davidson, Sebastien Buemi and Nicolas Lapierre.
The LMGTE Pro class saw the #51 Ferrari 458 Italia run by AF Corse take the win with Gianmaria Bruni taking the checkered flag in the car he shares with team mates Giancarlo Fisichella and Toni Vilander.
Corvette Racing took runner-up position with their #73 C7.R driven by Jordan Taylor, Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen. The sister #74 Chevrolet Corvette finished in fourth place.
In LMP2 a close finish saw British team Jota Sport take the crown from the French Thiriet by TDS Racing.
LMGTE Am fell to the #95 Aston Martin Vantage of Kristian Poulson, David Heinemeier Hansson and Nicki Thiim.
