Audi celebrates its first overall victory in the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring.
The victory was the 12th for Michelin at the “Green Hell” since 1998.
“This is a historical event. Audi has never won the Nürburgring 24 Hours before. We’ve finally done it. This is the biggest victory for customer racing. We are very happy,” said Romolo Liebchen, head of Audi Sport customer racing.
A massive field of 193 entries, including cars from eight different manufacturers in the top GT3 class, took on the fabled 15.77-mile Nordschleife circuit.
