The Porsche North America team once again topped the GTLM charts during the second practice at Circuit of The Americas for this weekend’s Lone Star Le Mans.

While the session started in wet conditions, the track quickly dried up and lap times fell with Oak Racing’s Alex Brundle scoring the first sub-two minute lap of the weekend for a TUDOR United SportsCar Championship car, registering a time of 1:58.292 aboard his Ligier HPD prototype.

After taking the top three spots in practice on Thursday, the Porsche 911 RSRs were again the top of the GTLM class in practice 2.

Fred Makowiecki in the #910 Porsche 911 RSR turned a lap of 2:07.473 ahead of teammate Nick Tandy in the #911 Porsche 911 RSR.

Risi Competizione’s Pierre Kaffer was third with the #912 Porsche of Michael Christensen in fourth. Championship points leader Antonio Garcia was fifth in his Corvette C7.R.

Starworks Motorsport’s Renger Van der Zande topped the PC class with Norbert Siedlers, #73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche 911 GT America fastest in GTD.

Teams will have one more practice session at COTA at 3:20 pm local time, ahead of qualifying.
