ALMS stars ready for Daytona battle

Fans of the American Le Mans Series will be keeping an eye on today’s Rolex 24 at Daytona – not only to see how some of their favorite stars are doing but also to get an idea as to what to expect when the 2014 combined sportscar series kicks off.

Today’s round the clock enduro kicks off at 3:30pm with 57 cars due to greet the green flag for the first major sporstcar enduro of the American racing season.

ALMS stars to keep an eye on will include:

DP Qual 5th: Spirit of Daytona Racing – Richard Westbrook, Antonio Garcia and Oliver Gavin

DP Qual 7th: Starworks with Alex Popow – Ryan Dalziel and Alex Popow

DP Qual 12th: VelocityWW – Jordan Taylor

DP Qual 14th: Doran Racing – Colin Braun and Jon Bennett (pictured above)

DP Qual 16th: Team Sahlen – Tomy Drissi

GT Qual 2nd: Magnus Racing – Andy Lally and John Potter

GT Qual 3rd: Park Place Motorsports – Patrick Long and Spencar Pumpelly
