The opening of practice for the Baltimore Grand Prix is delayed for approximately two hours this morning as track crews complete final preparations. Such opening day delays are not unusual at first year events on a downtown temporary circuit. ALMS teams are taking the delay in stride.

Once things get underway, a big crowd is expected. Race organziers advise that all 88 corporate suites are sold out and ticket sales are strong. Over 850 media credentials have been issued for the big weekend.

9:20 a.m. Update:
Latest plan is for ALMS Practice from 1:20pm – 2:35pm. Qualifying from 5:05pm -5:50 pm.

11:20am Update:
Practice will still be from 1:20pm – 2:35pm. Qualifying however will now be 5:50pm to 7:00pm.

1:20pm Update:
Practice still not underway, but USF2000 have hit the track for the first time. Should be underway at 2:20pm

3:40pm Update:
6:05-6:20 Practice for all cars
