3 hours to go at Sebring
Audi continued to head the pack at the 12 Hours of Sebring with three hours remaining in the Florida endurance classic – veterans Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish holding the race lead.
Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and last year’s Sebring winner Loic Duval were second with a lap lead over a pair of HPD machines from Muscle Milk and JRM Racing.
Tragically, the JRM machine suffered a suspension problem after Peter Dumbreck had passed Lucas Luhr on a restart and subsequently had to go behind the wall.
In P2, Scott Tucker, Christophe Bouchout and Joao Barbosa held the lead and sixth place overall – a great comeback result from Bouchout who crashed heavily yesterday in turn one.
In GT, the battle continued with a Corvette/BMW/Covette/BMW quartet fighting it out at the front. The ‘Vette of Oliver Gavin, Tom Milner and Richard Westbrook held the lead.
CORE autosport was looking strong in LMPC for the second year in a row. Last year the team finished second and third on debut but today they sit first and third – the Popow/Viso/Friselle car holding the lead.
